Alanna sat on one of the many benches scattered throughout the quad, her Theatre book open on her lap, but she hadn't more than glanced at it since she sat down. Instead, she scanned the quad, searching for a new guy to work her magic on tonight.

Paige had been walking around the quad for awhile, just checking out the school. She took a seat on one of the few empty benches left, incidentally across from Alanna. She looked over at the Asian girl and smiled a little. "Hi."

Alanna looked over at the blonde who had seated herself across from her, taking her focus from a particularly attractive piece of eye-candy walking by. "Hi," she responded, lifting her slender right hand from on top of her book in a low wave.

She didn't really know what to say. She had the same friends basically her entire life and the only time she really went out of her comfort zone was with guys. Or new people on the Spirit Squad. And the sorority sisters when she rushed. "I'm Paige Michalchuk. Are you a freshman?" Wow hon, way to sound like a total loser.

"Alanna," her gaze wandered back to scanning the crowd for interesting prospects, her last option having passed while the blonde asked her stupid questions. "Yeah, I'm a freshman." This girl was a little annoying, and very distracting--almost as many guys were staring at her as at Alanna herself, despite the awkward, insecure freshman look which Alanna had mercilessly trained out of herself.

She nods and then looks over and gives a small wave and a cute smile at a curly haired brown haired guy who she'd seen during Rush week at one of the fraternities. He smiled back and she looked down a little then turns back to Alanna. "So, see anything you like yet?" She had already noticed the girl looking at everyone around the quad. Probably looking for hot guys already.

Alanna's eyes narrowed at the blonde's simpering smile. If the guy in question were remotely attractive, she would have been furious. As it was, Paige was welcome to him...but that didn't stop the words Aw, HELL, no! from snapping through her head. She didn't like anyone to steal her limelight.
Who the hell does she think she is?
Masking the images flashing through her head, she smiled sweetly at Paige. "Plenty, you?"

"I've seen worse." She could hear the ice cold edge in Alanna's voice. She had grown accostumed to hearing them despite all the masks people put on. She had always had a way of telling if people were cool or not, except for well Dean. She kept looking at the guys and saw Dylan out of the corner of her eye. She smiled and waved at him a little. Her smile grew when her brother waved back. So great that I'm in college with my brother.

Seeing the exchange of waves between Paige and the hot blonde guy Alanna didn't know was her brother, Alanna's eyes snapped and she scoffed at her. "Do you wave at every guy that goes past? Amazing, that you can do that and not be considered trashy." Her tone left no doubt in anyone's mind that she certainly did consider it trashy.

She looked over at Alanna in disbelief. She felt like slapping the girl. "Hon, you so did not just call me trashy? I mean honestly, I've known that guy literally my entire life and green with envy, so not your color." She decided not to mention the fact that Dylan was A: her brother and B: gay with a live-in boyfriend. She thought it'd be funnier to let her figure that one out herself. Unless she says anything else about me waving to Dylan in which case that Grade F personality will so be deflated.

Alanna laughed, a sound like little bells tinkling as they fall down a flight of stairs. "Chill out, I didn't call you anything! I've just never met a girl before who could pull that off." Insecure, much? She thought to herself. This girl is nothing...she won't last a minute.
She curved her lips in a smug smile, pulling a long black hair off her lavendar tank top and dropping it on the ground beside her. "And you're right about the green; it suits you much better."

She looked baffled for a moment. "Yes because I'm so jealous of you, sitting out here alone getting mad because I'm social and waving to hot guys." She rolled her eyes and then moved back to the trashy comment. "Not to mention, its not trashy to wave to guys. Trashy would be going to a Tri Delta party and hooking up with some lame guy that you'd known an hour." She rolled her eyes. The only reason she would never join Tri Delta is the fact that Dean Walden was at most of the parties thrown there... seeing as he did get into a fraternity, Tri Delta's brother frat.

"Who's mad? You're putting words in my mouth that I didn't say. You're the only one who seems angry...and a bit touchy too, dear, if you don't mind my saying so. And who goes to Tri-Delt parties to hook up for an hour? That's Kappa Alpha Tao, if you're into that. We're a little more high-class."
This was starting to get on her nerves. I have better things to do than listen to some whiny blonde who justifies her existance by putting on heels and claiming to be taller than everyone...cheap heels, too.

"Okay hon, my brother goes here. I know for a fact, Tri Deltas so not classy by any sense of the word. I've known girls who flash thier breasts for cameras and have abortions that are classier than Tri Deltas." She rolled her blue green eyes towards the sky. Tri Kappas are so the ones that are classy. "Let me guess? Tri Delta?" Which would explain a lot.

"Speaking as the president of the freshman class for Tri Delta, I can guarantee you otherwise. Seriously. If you'd actually been invited to one of our parties, you'd know that." Officially sick of this excitable girl (and her cheap heels) Alanna added: "Now, if you don't mind, some of us have classes to study for."
