Alex let out a soft sigh as she leaned up against the counter, she had already been working her shift long enough, or she thought so anyway. "You're total is going to be five seventy five." she tells a younger mom, who had two little boys tugging on her clothes. She smiled down at them, and they hid behind their mom whispering about not talking to strangers. Ah, right Alex remember they're still smart little kids. Not having their souls ripped away by evil girls or boys. she thinks sarcasticly, as she takes a ten from the lady. "four twenty five is your change. Come back again soon..." she adds, before closing the cash register. It was going to be a long day.

Paige walked out from the office dressed in her brown uniform. She'd already gone back to get her job at the theater back and was suprised to see Alex working there. I could've sworn she got fired... And she's probably so thinking the same thing about me moving. She smiled at the raven haired beauty, her ex-girlfriend, and took her place beside her at the counter. "Hey hon."

Alex felt her heart skip a beat as she heard a certain familar voice from beside her. "Wha- Paige?" she asks curiously turning to face the blonde that was now, and had been, her ex girlfriend. "I thought you...were moving?" she suggests, a smirk forming over her lips slightly as she suggested this.

"What and leave the plastic cheese?" She smirked and took an order for some nachos. She put the plastic cheese in the little compartment and handed it to the customer, taking the money which happened to be literally exact change. "I turned into a gigantic chicken and decided Banting, so not for me. Instead I'm attending the prestigious Toronto University. But I have my own apartment, major plus."

Alex laughs softly, and shakes her head. "Oh wow the all mighty queen has fallen from her high thrown. I never figured Paige would realize Banting wasn't for you. But of course, being a good friend I supported you." she teases her, as she starts to fill up a two drinks. "Wow, and it's the afternoon rush, do you just attract attention where ever you go?" she suggests to Paige with a goofy smile.

She laughs. "Well everyone heard the Queen Bee didn't leave the hive so of course they had to check it out hon." She grinned her little crinkled nose grin and grabbed a large popcorn for a costumer. "Plus someone has to keep you motivated Nunez."

Alex shakes her head, a smirk playing across her lips. "Ah yes, but how could I forget. You almighty Queen, no one will ever forget you, no matter how far your huge head goes." she teases her, before handing people their order. After a few moments it calmed down, and she leaned up against the counter again. "Thankfully I won't be here for too much longer."

She blinked a few times. It wasn't about the not so subtle Alex insult. She'd grown accustomed to them. Instead it was the last part of the conversation. "Here as in the theater or here as in Toronto?" She hoped it was the first part, like her shift was ending. She couldn't imagine Toronto, or the theater without Alex being around. It was already hell all summer since Alex was fired.

Alex, keeping the smirk upon her face, looked over toward Paige. "Oh come on, do I really have a life outside of Toronto? I'd love to get away, I'd love not to live here anymore...but I'd miss you. And having you here, is enough to make me stay." she replies, looking back out toward the rest of the theatre. "But no, it's just my shift."

She smiled and realized that she missed Alex. Hon, we were way to different to date. Remember. Plus you and second chances don't really mix. She looked over at the clock. "I'm pulling a short shift tonight... but if you don't want to go back to the parentals, you should totally crash at my place. Because lets face it, there's only so much happiness Leno can provide before the total lonliness takes over."

Alex laughs and shakes her head, shoving Paige playfully. "Oh now you get to take the damn short shift. That boss of ours is going to drive me insane one of these days...the day has already come for you." she teases Paige, with a smirk playing across her lips once again. "But no seriously, I'll chill. Not that I'd love to hang out with you. But it's something to do."

She playfully hit Alex. "She gave me the short shift hon so I could get back into the swing of things or whatever. And I think she didn't want me deciding that Banting would be so much better after being around you for a few hours." She laughed and then helped yet another customer to yet more greasy theater food. "I think they put something addictive into the plastic cheese because I've tasted this stuff and its grosser than Heather Sinclair's breath."

Alex scrunches up her nose, as she makes a slightly disgusted face. "Uhm ew, no hon I don't think the problem is me, it's you and all this greasey food." she states in a immitation of none other then Paige. She laughs and shakes her head "Heather SinClaire, oh man that must be pretty bad, seeing as plastic cheese is horrible. Like gag me know horrible."

She laughs at Alex's imitation of herself. "I totally do not sound like that hon." She shook her head and leaned on the counter a little. She realized that she'd missed Alex during the summer. They hadn't talked much and Alex had only been at the going away party for a few minutes before leaving. Okay, we are not making the first year at university drama central so stop thinking about Alex...

Alex shakes her head, giving Paige an 'aw don't lie' smile and poking her side. "Oh shucks, I sure as hell thought it would have come close blondie. I never woulda thought it didn't sound one bit like you. Or maybe, it's just that you are unwilling to hear the bithcy side of the queen?" she suggests teasingly in a country, hillbilly type tone.
